Welcome!
The Institute for Resource Information Sciences (IRIS) at Cornell University integrates environmental information science and technologies to support education and research. This integration utilizes hardcopy and software copy maps, aerial photography, satellite imagery, and other remotely sensed data to form the database for visual and digital temporal analysis as required for research and outreach applications. These applications range from highly focused and site specific to multi-disciplinary and multi-regional. Every project embraces IRIS’ commitment to education and technology transfer.
