The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) is designed to assist Cornell University’s central Office of Foundation Relations in managing relationships with both private and corporate philanthropic foundations. The overarching goal of the office is to increase the amount and the relevance of grants to the CALS community in support of academic and research priorities while, at the same time, ensuring that each university contact with a foundation is both strategic and optimized.
The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations helps to ensure timely and appropriate communication with foundation representatives and that the best match is made between campus and foundation interests. The office provides faculty with support for strategic and coordinated approaches to private foundations as well as guidance on well-developed grant proposals and post-grant stewardship of foundation awards. The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations also provides a link to the Office of Sponsored Programs for the rapid review and execution of grant applications and awards.
