Academic Enrichment Program
The spring application cycle ends on March 15, 2017. The Grant Funding Review Committee (the “Committee”) will make decisions within 2-3 weeks of the due date.
The CALS Alumni Association Academic Enrichment Program fosters the educational goals of Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) undergraduate and graduate students by providing financial support for activities that complement and enhance each student’s academic experience at Cornell and for which funding is often not available. Grants are also available for program and department activities that are not fully funded and which enrich the populations they serve. The project which receive funding should advance the mission of the college and enhance the professional goals and academic experiences of each applicant.
The Committee may elect to fund either a portion or the total amount of an applicant’s request.
Types of enrichment support may include the following:
- Attending leadership and professional development programs, conferences and/or other curriculum or professionally enhancing experiences
- Travel and/or supplies related to academic work, research or internship experiences
- Internship experience – summer, winter break, spring break, or in-semester
- Academic research
- Events or extension activities that foster engagement with CALS and/or educate constituency groups
CALS is a community dedicated to discovery, teaching, and translation of knowledge with public purpose.
