Capital Projects & Facilities Services

Capital Projects and Facilities Services (CP&FS) manages space in 500 buildings totaling over 3.5 million square feet, as well as over 10,000 acres of agricultural and natural lands across New York State and beyond.

The Cornell University Agricultural Experiment Station (Cornell AES) encompasses research farms and greenhouses in Ithaca, Freeville, Aurora and Riverhead, New York. Cornell AgriTech in Geneva has branch stations on Lake Erie and in the Hudson Valley.

The Occupational and Environmental Health Program (OEH) addresses the workplace health and safety needs of CALS faculty, staff, and students and promotes environmental stewardship of College farms and greenhouses. The program provides assistance with a variety of safety, health, and environmental issues found in agricultural research, as well as emphasis on the proper management of pesticides and farm safety. CALS greenhouses employ best management practices to minimize risks to employee safety and health.

CP&FS works closely with Facilities and Campus Services, Contract Colleges Facilities, and other departments within CALS. Each building within CALS has a Facilities Coordinator to manage day-to-day issues.
