MyCALSMoment

Walking on the Ag Quad for the first time as a Cornell student was surreal. I remember the sense of comfort that came with those first steps and immediately feeling like CALS was home.

What has been an academic highlight for you within your major?

NS 1150: Nutrition, Health, and Society! This class sparked my interest in the nutritional sciences. I had never been exposed to this type of science before coming to Cornell, so it has been fascinating learning about how the way we nourish ourselves can affect every single part of our bodies.

What has been an academic highlight for you outside of your major?

Medical French! My love for French began in high school, and the wide variety of French courses offered here excites me. This class gave me the best of both worlds by combining my passions for French and medicine. Since then, I have continued exploring all the language has to offer.

What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?

The community that I have found through the Biology Scholars Program has impacted my Cornell experience immensely. It is so heart-warming to see familiar faces everywhere on campus and to know I can rely on this group of incredible Biological Sciences majors to constantly support and root for me.
