When it was just cooling down in the fall but still warm enough to sit on the Ag Quad and do work with friends. The changing leaves and beautiful weather makes Cornell the perfect place for me.

What has been an academic highlight for you within your major?

My first plant science class, PLSCI 1101 has definitely been the highlight of my major work. Every week we would meet at a different place on campus to talk to faculty from my department and hear about all the interesting research they are involved with. We went to awesome places like Cornell Orchards, Kent Post Greenhouses, and Cornell Botanical Gardens.

Why is CALS a great fit for you?

CALS is amazing because we are a large College with many different majors, but I still am able to find close connections within my major and classes. Everyone is so down to earth and interesting -- it is awesome.

What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?

I joined the Residential Sustainability Leaders Club which has been such a great experience. I am able to channel my personal interest in sustainability into encouraging my fellow students to join in on making Cornell a greener campus.
