MyCALSMoment

I was applying to a prestigious internship that I really wanted and was super nervous. Before the interview even started, the supervisor told me that she had been a student at Cornell and worked for the same professor that I do. Just goes to show you the networks that you can create here at Cornell!

What is an experiential opportunity you’ve had that has been meaningful to you?

The Harvard Forest Summer Research Program allowed me to explore a scientific question that is of great interest to me. Through analyzing patterns in atmospheric deposition and carbon sequestration, I was able to partake in the scientific process and learn new skills along the way!

What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?

Alpha Zeta Fraternity is a co-ed, social, professional and honors fraternity that upholds values of scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and character. Not only has Alpha Zeta given me life-long friendships but it has also widened my professional network, as many Cornell Alpha Zeta alumni have continued to advance the fields of agriculture and life sciences.

What are your post-graduation goals?

After graduation, I want to craft effective and efficient policies to help the United States, and the world, mitigate and adapt to impending climate change.
