Being on the Ag Quad! It's filled with great places to study and looks different but beautiful every season!

What has been an academic highlight for you within your major?

I really enjoyed taking CS 1110, which is highly recommended for Biometry and Statistics majors. The course was well-taught and inspired me to work towards a minor in Computer Science. The final project was creating a game almost from scratch.

Why are you a great fit for CALS?

I am a great fit for CALS because I love math and statistics, but also agriculture and computer science. I am easily able to study all three topics within CALS while also being involved in clubs, research, and Greek life.

What is something you have been involved with outside of academics that is meaningful to you?

I am involved in the Cornell University Sustainable Design project team. The project I've been working on has the goal of making Ithaca a carbon-neutral city by 2030. It has been a good way to meet people, to apply what I'm learning, and to learn about another topic of interest.
