First-Year Applicants

You are a First-Year Applicant if you have successfully completed your high school diploma or GED and have earned fewer than 12 credits at a college or university.

Transfer Applicants

You are a Transfer Applicant if you have earned 12 or more credits at another accredited college or university since graduating from high school.

Internal Transfer Applicants

If you are a current non-CALS, degree-seeking Cornell student who will have completed at least two full-time semesters at Cornell (12 credits minimum/semester) prior to transitioning to CALS you are considered an Internal Transfer Applicant.

Visiting Students

Visiting student status is a non-degree program that is extended to a limited number of students who desire instruction in selected CALS courses in order to update current knowledge or to prepare for employment.
