301: Produce Safety Train-the-Trainer Courses

Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training will provide a foundation of Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and co-management information, FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirements, and details on developing a farm food safety plan. This course is one way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule that requires ‘At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.’, 21 CFR 112.22(c).

302: Modeling for Produce Safety

This series of two free short videos, developed for undergraduate students and industry professionals new to modeling, provides an introductory overview of basic modeling principles and various types of models that can be used to enhance produce safety. Viewers will learn the critical skills needed to evaluate and interpret various models in the context of real-world applications.

303: GIS Tools for Produce Safety

This free short video is intended for individuals interested in advancing their understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) models, and their applications in pre-harvest produce safety. Viewers will learn fundamental concepts and principles of GIS models, as well as how findings from GIS models can be used to mitigate pathogen contamination in the pre-harvest growing environment.
