As we come to the end of the 2024 summer camp season, we at NYS 4-H and Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) want to express our sincere gratitude to all of our hardworking 4-H camp leaders, counselors and CCE staff supporting them throughout our system.

This summer we had one of our most active camp seasons to date with around 10,000 young people attending our 30 day and overnight camps across the state. Making each camper’s experience fulfilling and memorable were hardworking 500 camp counselors, staff and volunteers.

It is such an honor that hundreds of New York state families entrust NYS 4-H Camps to deliver outstanding programs and experiences to young people and one that we take very seriously. To those parents and caregivers who shared their loved ones with us, we say “thank you.”

As we pause to catch our breath with this summer winding down, it is with immense appreciation that we recognize all those on our team across the state who played such a huge part in making this summer one to remember. Thank you for a fantastic 2024 camp season, we are already looking forward to 2025!

Sincerely,
Shawn Tiede
