Ever wanted to know how to cultivate shiitake mushrooms? Then here’s your chance to learn. This video, part of a new series of how-to videos produced by the eXtension Forest Farming community, features Ken Mudge, associate professor of horticulture, CALS’ resident expert in shiitake mushroom research and education. In the video, Mudge offers an overview of the four stages of shiitake cultivation, which can be explored in more depth in a recently published, free guide to shiitake cultivation.
