General overview of the CIFOR Guidelines for Foodborne Disease Outbreak Response and Toolkit (May 24, 2016 at 2:00PM)
The New York State Integrated Food Safety Center of Excellence (NY CoE) is pleased to announce the initiation of a food safety webinar series for state and local health department staff (epidemiology, environmental health, and laboratory) within the NY CoE region. The goal of these webinars is to assist states and jurisdictions throughout the NY CoE region in using the Council to Improve Foodborne Outbreak Response (CIFOR) Guidelines Toolkit to evaluate their preparation and capacity for effective foodborne illness surveillance and outbreak detection and investigation. The first webinar of the series was offered on May 24, 2016 at 2:00 PM EST and provided a general overview of the CIFOR Guidelines for Foodborne Disease Outbreak Response and Toolkit. The goal of these webinars is to assist states and jurisdictions throughout the NY CoE region in using the Council to Improve Foodborne Outbreak Response (CIFOR) Guidelines Toolkit to evaluate their preparation and capacity for effective foodborne illness surveillance and outbreak detection and investigation. The second webinar of the series titled, “NYCoE CIFOR Partnerships during Investigations” was offered on June 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM EST and pertained to Focus Area 1: Relationships with Relevant Agencies and Organizations of the CIFOR Toolkit. The webinar was recorded for future viewing purposes, and access the Focus Area 1 slide set for review.
