Center Activities

The New York Integrated Food Safety CoE’s (NY CoE) mission is to assist and improve the enteric disease outbreak investigation capacities of our regional partner states and jurisdictions. To achieve the mission, the NY CoE aims to establish and facilitate a sustainable “Food Safety Learning Collaborative” (LC) to achieve shared food safety goals.

The NY CoE’s Activities primarily include the design and creation of products for integrated, targeted education for epidemiologists, public health laboratorians, and environmental health specialists. Products designed by the NY CoE can be found here and are frequently developed after guidance from or in collaboration with regional partner states and jurisdictions.

To create products that are reflect the current needs of the NY CoE region, the NY CoE meets with all of its regional partner states and jurisdictions once a year and holds a bi-annual Food Safety Symposium with its regional partner states and jurisdictions.
