A thin coat of acrylic paint was added to increase the opacity of the plexiglass panels, creating a layered effect.
The plexiglass brise soleil was an exercise in altering the effect of sunlight through a series of plexiglass panels. Inspired by the copper slip facade in Herzog and De Meuron's De Young Museum in San Francisco, an image sampler algorithm in Grasshopper 3D was used but according to the conditions of the material at hand such as durability, tension, flexibility, and so on.
