Business Development and Partnerships

Welcome to the Office of Business Development and Partnerships

For more than a century, businesses, companies, and organizations have benefited from strong partnerships with the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at Cornell University. By staying attuned to the private sector and working closely with foundation and government representatives, the Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations is responsible for providing a conduit to the faculty and staff of CALS, as well as to the talented students and the state-of-the-art research and development facilities housed across the college.

Research conducted at CALS has been shown to positively impact entrepreneurs, businesses, and industries not only in New York, but around the world. CALS faculty, researchers, and students are among the best, with world-class mentors, collaborators, and facilities at their disposal while working to engage in cutting-edge research and technology transfer. Across the twenty academic departments and the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management, CALS seeks to deliver on its mission as New York State’s Land Grant Institution by disseminating Knowledge with Public Purpose. In partnerships with industry and governmental agencies, CALS strives to identify solutions for some of today’s most significant global challenges at the intersection of four interdependent and interacting areas of focus: Food and Energy Systems, Environmental Sciences, Economic and Community Vitality, and the Life Sciences.

The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations is continuously working to build upon its current external relationships while developing new strategic and mutually beneficial partnerships with state, national, and international organizations that will strengthen its teaching, research, and extension mission.
