Join us for our next session of Food Safety Virtual Office Hours, where we will continue the discussion regarding the new FSMA Final Rule for Food Traceability. This time we will have Melanie Neumann, J.D., M.S. and Jennifer McEntire, Ph.D. provide a brief recap of the key requirements of the Traceability Rule and also some perspective on the “facts, fiction, and future” of this rule. This session is for both those who attended our first session and wanted to dive deeper into questions, but it’s also for those who missed round one and need a quick primer on the rule before diving into more Q&A.

Following the presentation both presenters will join a panel of experts for a moderated Q&A and further discussion.

Panel of Experts:
  • Donna Clements, M.S., PSA Coordinator and NE Regional Extension Associate, Food Science, Cornell AgriTech
  • Adam Friedlander, Policy Analyst, FDA Human Foods Program
  • Dr. Jennifer McEntire, Founder of Food Safety Strategy, Food Safety Consulting Firm
  • Melanie Neumann, J.D., M.S., Neumann Advisory Services and Entrepreneur in Residence at Cornell University
  • Dr. Abby Snyder, Associate Professor, Department of Food Science, Cornell University (Moderator)
  • Dr. Aljosa Trmcic, Senior Extension Associate, Department of Food Science, Cornell University
