Join us this month for Food Industry Virtual Office Hours. This session will focus on allergens as a food safety hazard and discuss different ways food processors can control this hazard. The session will start with presentations from two experts in the field: Sarah Czapranski (NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets) will give us an overview of regulatory landscape when it comes to allergens and also give us specific points an inspector might look for to evaluate control over this hazard and risk to the consumer. Dr. Steven M. Gendel (Gendel Food Safety LLC) will present on some of the best practices for control of allergens as well as any pitfalls that food processors should be aware of.
Following the presentations, the speakers will join an expert panel to address questions during a moderated Q&A.
