Institute for Food Safety at Cornell University
Dr. Elizabeth M. Demmings has experience with basic and applied research in agricultural life sciences as well as project management in academia. She earned her B.S. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona and her Ph.D. from Cornell University in Plant Biology. Beth’s current extension based projects include developing curriculum and delivering programming in food microbiology and good manufacturing practices with an emphasis on sanitation and hygienic design in fresh produce pack-hold facilities. As Program Coordinator, Beth helps to facilitate the vision for the IFS@CU to become the global leader in research, training, and outreach in food safety.
