Enhancing animal and human health, profitability and sustainability
Precision management and novel devices for automation of tasks and advanced data analytics on fully integrated crops, animal management and environmental data is the core of our strategy. This has the potential to enhance both animal and human health, well-being and performance, while improving farm profitability and sustainability. Using dairy farming as our model, we are developing and implementing an evolving suite of technologies in the following areas:
Health management
We develop, deploy and evaluate data-analytic tools using integrated sensor and non-sensor data to predict automatically, and in real time, short- and long-term health outcomes of cattle.
Reproductive monitoring and management
We demonstrate and enhance existing semi-automated and automated tools for reproductive-status monitoring and breeding support.
Feeding and nutritional management
We seek to optimize feeding and nutrition management through data-driven ration formulation, and automated monitoring and management of feed and animal responses to feed.
