Salinity tolerance of round goby: informing invasion potential in the Hudson River Estuary and connected waters

A project designed to evaluate the dispersal of round goby into the Hudson River Estuary continued in 2024 with work on a risk map based on the salinity tolerance experiments run at CBFS in 2023. It is likely that round goby can survive in the whole estuary in the winter but will have difficulty moving into Long Island Sound and the lower Hudson Estuary in the summer.  Further work was initiated to look at other age groups
