Mysis daytime distributions in deep lakes

Mysids migrate into the water column during the night, but their descent may not be all the way to the bottom of the lake in deep lakes and in turbid lakes.  If lakes are deep enough, mysids may stay in the water column and not migrate to the bottom, which affects benthic-pelagic coupling. This project uses samples collected day and night on mysids in a range of lakes and is in the writing stage as a chapter in Chapina’s PhD thesis.
