30 Years & Counting

Founded in 1996 by a dedicated group of Cornell students, Dilmun Hill began as a simple idea: a place where students could apply classroom knowledge, grow produce for campus, and experiment.

Explore Dilmun's history

Now, 30 years later, Dilmun has grown into a vibrant, student-run educational farm hub for undergraduates from any major, where students learn to manage a working farm, grow collaborative leadership skills, and build community through farming and food systems. This dynamic community welcomes new students every year and each cohort leaves a lasting mark. Discover them as you wander the diverse farmscape, explore the annual farm reports, or hear from alumni about how Dilmun shaped their lives.

“Growing and giving people food is the best feeling. Knowing how much work you put into growing it, people are grateful to have it and you can feel that gratitude.” - Izzie Beck ’27

"I wouldn’t change my time at Dilmun Hill for anything else. The things I’ve learned and the relationships I’ve established through Dilmun have definitely changed my Cornell experience.” - Raymond Pan ’25"

“The farm connects people. Regardless of your discipline, it’s a great learning space for self-exploration.” - Blythe Van Ness ’26
