About
Shrey Kapoor holds master's degrees in International Development from Sciences Po Paris (2013) and in International Affairs and Governance from the University of St. Gallen (2015). He was born in New Delhi, and moved to Switzerland with his parents at the age of 7.
He is interested in applying theoretical insights from postcolonial literature, critical agrarian studies, and autonomist Marxism to contemporary cases of rural and urban dispossession in South Asia.
Shrey's current research grapples with the contemporary articulations of neoliberalism, Hindutva and the dispossession of marginalized groups in favor of capital-intensive development projects, with a special focus on Gujarat.
