Quinn Kolar
Senior Lecturer, PRO-DAIRY, Animal Science

Quinn Kolar, Ph.D, joined the Department of Animal Science in Fall 2023 as the Dairy Fellows Alumni Senior Lecturer in Dairy Herd Management. Her teaching efforts are focused on dairy herd management with an emphasis on integrating the science of dairy cattle production and with herd management. Quinn’s teaching is focused on developing experiential learning activities to challenge students to apply their knowledge learned in the classroom to real-world herd management. In addition, to her teaching appointment, Quinn serves as a resource on dairy herd health with a particular emphasis on mastitis and milk quality. Prior to joining Cornell, Quinn worked as a consultant for a dairy technology company before receiving her graduate degrees. Her graduate research focused on respiratory disease in calves (masters) and treatment of mastitis (Ph.D.). Quinn is passionate about supporting NY dairy farmers to improve the health of dairy cattle.
