Karolyn is originally from Massachusetts. In 2022, she transferred to Cornell to pursue a B.S. in Animal Science. During her time at Cornell, Karolyn began working for the Nutrient Management Spear Program (NMSP) Dairy Sustainability Team, completing nutrient mass balances and greenhouse gas footprints. As biodiversity metrics became more relevant in New York dairy, Karolyn took on the Dairy Sustainability Biodiversity Indicators project. She began her master’s program focusing on developing this project in June 2026, with Quirine Ketterings as her faculty advisor. Currently, she is recruiting farmer-owner participants for the project.
