About
Jessie's research examines the emergence of new agri-environmental approaches (such as regenerative agriculture and rewilding) and associated natural capital markets in the UK context.
Jessie received an M.A. in Social Anthropology from the University of Sussex in 2023. Her MA dissertation based on primary ethnographic research examined English arable farmers’ experiences with soil conservation practices and soil carbon trading. Her research interests are largely the result of her experience in the agricultural industry and training in agronomy; she holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture with Crop Management from Harper Adams University and worked for a number of years on a variety of crop and livestock farms.
