Emile Punzalan

Emile Punzalan is an Extension Support Specialist at the Cornell Food Venture Center of Saratoga County. He holds a PhD in Food Science and Technology from Cornell University, with research areas focusing on the application of membrane separation processes and nonthermal technologies in juice processing.

Prior to joining the Cornell Food Venture Center, he worked as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Padilla-Zakour Lab, Department of Food Science, Cornell University. He has relevant experience in the food manufacturing industry, as a quality assurance analyst and product compliance specialist at Nestle Philippines, Inc. – Cabuyao Factory. He also has pertinent teaching and administrative experience in higher education at the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines.
