Aaron Sexton

My goal is to understand how management practices of urban ecosystems influence biodiversity patterns and processes and how these interact with human-nature relationships.  My work includes a mixture of ecological field work, large-scale data synthesis, and socioecological research. I have a suite of projects, some field-based, some computer-based to address my research questions.  These field projects span New York City, New York State, and work with collaborators in France and Germany. I am also passionate about teaching the next generation of ecologists, botanists and landscape architects to develop new urban landscapes that support biodiversity and human-nature interactions.
