"A self-sustaining food system is proposed to promote food availability, accessibility, affordability, and equality to both human and non-human agents through all four seasons."

This project analyzed the site of the Ithaca Farmer's Market Pavilion and waterfront through an experimental approach, surveying with the lens of four senses: touch, smell, taste, and sound. Mapping the sensorial experiences for both human and non-human agents throughout the site, this project identified areas that convey interesting characteristics of the site and used the characteristics to generate design concepts under these senses. Through various layers of vegetated islands and blankets, water can be collected, filtered, distributed, and recycled for irrigation.
