The CALS Teaching Experience
June 10-11, 2026 | Mann Library 102
Teaching for Tomorrow: Highlighting the Value of Higher Education
Sponsored by the CALS Office of Curriculum Development and Instructional Support
This is an in-person event and is open to all Cornell instructors.
Seats are limited - register here by June 1st to secure your spot.
What should a Cornell graduate be able to do? How do we prepare students for a world that's changing faster than we can predict?
This two-day collaborative experience brings together educators to explore the fundamental challenge of our time: preparing students not just for their first job, but for a lifetime of adaptation, learning, and contribution in an uncertain world.
Join Us if You:
- Have been asked "What's the point of a college degree?" and want better answers
- Are questioning whether what we're teaching still matters in an AI-driven world
- Are ready to experiment with new approaches
- Want to strengthen student preparation without sacrificing academic rigor
- Are curious about what your colleagues are doing in the classroom
What You'll Leave With:
- Clear framework for enhancing student preparation
- Specific tools and activities tested by colleagues
- Modified course materials ready for your classroom
