Join an informal lunchtime discussion of your current vegetable and flower garden pests! Participants can share their observations and discuss management with experts from Cornell Integrated Pest Management.

Accurate identification of pests and good record-keeping are key aspects of an effective management program. We suggest that participants keep a garden pest notebook that includes sketches, maps, and notes that can be referenced in subsequent years. Making detailed observations can help you identify and remember pests.

Meetings will be held June 24, July 22, and August 19 from noon to 1:00 pm, EDT. Each session, we'll showcase the drawings, photos, or other observations made by attendees and discuss each situation and management options. Toward the end of the hour, we'll open it up for a general discussion of any other pest management challenges and possible solutions.

Experts in insects, diseases and weeds will be on-hand for each meeting, but we'd like to encourage folks to discuss weeds in the first session, insect pests in the second session, and plant diseases in the third session.

Registrants will receive a link to attend the virtual meeting as well as a link to upload their sketches or photos of pests before each session.

Register for the event series using the button below. You may register even after the first and second events. For more information, contact Hannah Tolz (htt24 [at] cornell.edu (htt24[at]cornell[dot]edu)).
