September 15, 2026
8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (including lunch)
Please join the Cornell Hemp Research and Extension Team for our 10th Annual Hemp Field Day at Cornell AgriTech in Geneva. We will present recent results on animal feeding trials using hemp seed meal and hear an update from Andrew Bish on the work of the Hemp Feed Coalition.
Then we will head to the field to watch demos of hemp grain harvest with a John Deere combine, hemp grain drying, hemp fiber harvesting and baling, and hemp decortication.
We will highlight differences in yield potential based on planting date and harvest timing of different hemp cultivars, including Ursa ‘Alta’ and Ursa ‘Grande’ from the Cornell hemp breeding program.
We will also hear updates and future prospects in a showcase of New York hemp companies and start-ups. Farmers are encouraged to attend to connect with companies that may be contracting for hemp production in 2027.
Cost: $45 | Register online. (Please register by Tuesday, September 8)
