The annual Cornell Field Crop Research Field Day will be Thursday, July 24 at the Musgrave Research Farm, Aurora, N.Y. The program features walking and hay wagon tours in the morning and afternoon. 

The tour stops include:
  • Vipan Kumar: Integrated weed management strategies for weed control in NY corn & soybeans
  • Juan Carlos Ramos, Kirsten Workman, Quirine Ketterings: NY On-Farm Research Partnership
  • Louis Longchamps: Farmers Datalab: How farmers and researchers can learn together
  • Harold van Es, Michael Glos: Precision nitrogen management using imaging and models
  • Rebecca Stup, Toni DiTomasso: Pollinator strips in margins: Managing weeds and boosting biodiversity
  • Mike Gore: Opening a dialogue with plants: The future of smart farming with CROPPS
  • Kristen Loria and Matt Ryan: Reducing tillage in corn production with living and rolled-crimped legume mulches
  • Lilly Elliott-Vidaurri, Suleima Patt & Katja Poveda: Life After Neonics: Exploring the effect of manure, cover crops, and seed treatment on early pest risk in in NY field crops

DEC and CCA credits have been requested.

The program is free and open to the public. A light breakfast and free lunch will be provided.

  • 10-11:55 am - Morning tours
  • 12-12:55 pm - Lunch
  • 1-2:55 pm - Afternoon tours
