CCE Oneida Library Connection provides portable parenting resources and information to visitors of local community libraries. Project staff are on-site during library storytimes or other events for participants to be able to ask questions and get information on their child’s development and resources within the community. Project outcomes are to educate parents/caregivers on developmental milestones through in-person opportunities as well as newsletters.
Roles and responsibilities
Intern would identify when story times are taking place at the libraries across our area and schedule times to attend the story time along with the resources for parents (already established in a comprehensive resource binder). Intern would provide information to each participant at story time and provide resources to parents seeking additional information. Intern would report on the number of participants at each session based on an established reporting format. Intern would also develop resources for parenting to add to the resource binder and identify resources to send out in the parent newsletter.
