Tutoring

Instructors are the best resource when you are experiencing academic difficulties. Course tutors are often available through the instructor.

You must first seek help from the professor and/or TA of the course.

Below are additional FREE tutoring resources.

Biology Student Advisors

The Biology Student Advisors offer free, walk-in tutoring for many classes 5 days a week in 216 Stimson Hall and is open to all students (not just Biology majors) in all 7 undergraduate colleges. Tutoring is offered in biology, chemistry, math and physics.

Learning Strategies Center

The Learning Strategies Center in 420 CCC (on the Ag Quad near Roberts Hall) is the central academic support unit for undergraduates at Cornell University, and provides assistance in improving general study skills through semester long courses, workshops, individual consultations, and web site resources. Visit http://lsc.cornell.edu or call 607/255-6310. The center is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

CALS Tutoring Program

The CALS Tutoring Program is available to CALS students only. Requesting a tutor though this service provides a list of eligible tutors. Students making the request select a tutor from the list, contact the tutor, and meet one-on-one as agreed upon by student and tutor. This program offers tutoring only for the courses listed below. To utilize this program, you must fill out the request form in Chatter. Log in to Chatter, click on the DUST Tab, then click on Tutoring.

Ho-Nun-De-Kah

One-on-one tutoring with an assigned tutor is available for many other courses by members of Ho-Nun-De-Kah (HNDK), the CALS Honor Society. This free service is available to CALS students only.
