Appointments

Our office is currently offering in-person services.  Students can choose in-person or remote meetings.

Do you have a major related question? 

CALS Student Services can assist with college distribution, external transfer credit, academic course concerns, and many more academic and resource questions unrelated to your major.  All questions about your major requirements should be directed to your specific major Advising Coordinator linked here

  • Make sure to use your Cornell Netid. You will receive a confirmation for the appointment.
  • In-person appointments will be held at 140 Roberts Hall
  • If you are not feeling well, need to cancel, or would like to swap the meeting mode from in-person to remote, email: cals-studentservices [at] cornell.edu or call CALS Student Services to update your scheduled meeting.  
Drop-Ins | Fall 2024 Semester 

Drop-ins will resume when classes begin for the fall semester, but we still offer scheduled in-person or Zoom meetings. Please use the link above. 

Drop-in meetings are offered during the Fall and Spring academic semesters for quick questions. These meetings are typically 15 minutes or less.  If you think you need more than 15 minutes, we recommend that you make an appointment with your advisor. Drop-in meetings will only be available during the specified schedule listed below.

When the university is closed (no classes are offered), drop-in meetings will not be offered. 

Drop-ins are offered in the CALS Zone (Mann Library 112); drop-ins are limited to 15 minutes.

Chatter

Join a group and search for questions that have been asked by other students or ask your own. Our team is there sharing information and answering student questions. (Restricted to current students.)

CALS Live Chat

Look for available Live Chat hours shared in chatter and posted on Instagram and the CALS Zone! Quick answers to simple questions. During busy moments of the semester (ex. enrollment deadlines and career fairs) you’ll find our advisors available online via your Chatter Dashboard. Use the “Chat with and Advisor” tab in the bottom right of your browser to start a chat. (Restricted to current students.)
