Speaker

Edward is an ecotoxicologist who has worked with bees for most of his career. He mostly studies co-formulants (ingredients other than the actives) and adjuvants (tank additives), and how they impact bumblebees. He’s been highlighting the potential threat they can pose to bees, and researching how we can improve risk assessment to protect both bees and yields. Edward completed his undergraduate education at the University of Bristol, his Ph.D. at Royal Holloway, University of London, and a post-doc at Trinity College Dublin. He currently works for the UK Forestry Commission on invasive species control, specifically, oak processionary moth.
