I am a doctoral student with the Longchamps Digital Agronomy Lab (FarmersDataLab) in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University. My work focuses on developing software tools to support observational research in agronomic systems and exploring whether the addition of biophysical and environmental contextualization covariates can increase the value of on-farm experimentation. Before returning to school to pursue training in plant sciences, I worked as a full-stack software engineer, founded a few companies, co-founded a 501c.3 nonprofit, worked as a carpenter and (semi) retired for a few years. I received an MS in Precision Agriculture, a BS in Horticulture and another BS in Information Systems and Decision Sciences at while at Louisiana State University. In my free time, I enjoy reading, photography, cooking, negotiating with my toddler, and doing most things outdoors.
