She earned a Masters of Science in Student Affairs and Higher Education from Binghamton University and a Bachelors of Science in Biology from SUNY Cortland.
Sophie has over five years of higher education experience, previously serving as the Transfer Specialist for Binghamton University, where she worked with transfer students from across New York, the Midwest region, helping them prepare for and navigate the transfer admissions process. She later joined The Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences, where she provided administrative support for the Innovative Simulation and Practice Center and Interprofessional Education Program. At Decker, Sophie managed a team of student mentors and graduate assistants and focused on projects that enhanced healthcare education through the implementation of Universal Design.
Sophie’s own experience as a transfer student was deeply impactful and sparked her passion for making higher education more accessible to all. She has a special interest in non-traditional and transfer students and is excited to work with CALS to address barriers in the transfer and transition process.
