Sarah is currently a postdoctoral associate in Renata Ivanek's lab. Sarah’s research was focused on expanding knowledge of microbial dynamics in food systems to develop evidence-based practices that promote lasting impacts to food quality and safety throughout the supply chain. Her projects include identifying quality management practices associated with Pasteurized Fluid milk spoilage due to post-pasteurization contamination, establishing standard methods for milk powder spore testing, and developing simulation models for predicting fresh produce spoilage and shelf life.
