Marissa joined the Department of Microbiology in May 2021 as the department’s administrative lead, and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations to ensure the department functions smoothly and effectively.
Her work includes managing complex administrative processes, developing and monitoring budgets, and coordinating facilities operations. Marissa also provides strategic support to faculty and staff, facilitates communication across teams, and helps implement departmental initiatives that enhance efficiency and collaboration. Her leadership is central to maintaining an organized, responsive, and well-supported environment for research, teaching, and outreach.
