Marcos is an agronomist who graduated from ESALQ–University of São Paulo, Brazil. As an undergraduate, he spent a year as an exchange student at the University of California, Davis, working in Professor Patrick H. Brown’s laboratory on boron nutrition and gaining experience in mineral nutrient physiology.
He is currently a master’s student in the Nutrient Management Spear Program. His research focuses on the New York Soil Test Conversion Program to improve analytical consistency and nutrient management recommendations across the state.
