Ketki completed her PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she developed a computational method to improve gene expression prediction and increase the statistical power of transcriptome-wide association studies (TWAS). As a postdoc in statistical genetics, Ketki studies the contribution of social and environmental factors to health-relevant traits and asks whether the balance of genetic and environmental factors of these traits differs across populations. She develops computational and statistical methods to build interpretable measures of environmental contribution to complex traits with the goal of equitable, generalizable risk prediction.
