Kelli Carr

Kelli joined the Department of Communication in August 2014 following three years in the Special Programs and Professional Studies division of Cornell's School of Continuing Education. Prior to moving to Ithaca, she served as manager of publications at University of Toronto’s Centre for Reformation and Renaissance Studies and editorial assistant in the Department of Publications at the Detroit Institute of Arts. In these positions, she developed the editing and management skills she applies now to the many projects she takes on at Cornell. She enjoys reading, travel, and scary movies. She does not like hiking. Rumor has it that her favorite punctuation mark is the interrobang‽

In her role as the Assistant to the Chair, Kelli performs the following:

• Coordinates the activities of the chair
• Manages faculty reappointment, promotion, and tenure dossiers
• Coordinates and organizes faculty searches
• Produces the Department of Communication newsletter, COMM Updates
• Chairs the Faculty and Student Awards Committee
• Provides editorial assistance to department members
• Assists in the development and execution of department events

Hybrid Schedule:

• Monday: 8:30 am–5:00 pm, in office
• Tuesday: 8:15 am–4:45 pm, remote
• Wednesday: 8:15 am–4:45 pm, remote
• Thursday: 8:30 am–5:00 pm, in office
• Friday: 8:15 am–3:45 pm, remote
