Jayla has worked at Cornell since 2017, previously in Arts & Sciences Advising and now as the Director of Advising for the Environment & Sustainability major. Jayla was a first-generation college student who earned a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Cortland and a M.S. in Higher Education from Syracuse University. What she values most about working with students is witnessing their development over the course of their undergraduate journey, and focusing on helping them discover who they want to be as a whole, not just as a student.
