Heather Kase is the small fruit specialist with the Eastern NY Commercial Horticulture Program. In this role, she serves small fruit growers across a 17-county region. Small fruit includes crops such as strawberries, blueberries, brambles, and unique fruit such as elderberries, aronia, and more. Her responsibilities include providing on-farm support to growers in Eastern New York on production, integrated pest management (IPM), marketing, and more. She is also involved with projects such as the NY Berry Pest Monitoring Network, Cornell Program Work Teams (PWTs), and applied research projects focusing on small fruit IPM and production needs.
