Hailey Galyon works with Prof. Mike Van Amburgh. Her research focuses on quantitative nutrition and advancing the Cornell Net Carbohydrate and Protein System (CNCPS v7), with an emphasis on improving predictions of enteric methane emissions and evaluating mitigation strategies. She works on validating model outputs with respiration chamber data, refining the rumen and gastrointestinal tract sub-models, and developing resources to help nutritionists and industry partners apply new methane-reducing technologies in practice.
