Emily comes to CALS HR from the School of Industrial Labor Relations, where she served as a Temporary Human Resource Assistant. In her role there, she provided instrumental support to the ILR HR Team, focusing on strengthening employee engagement efforts. This included co-founding the Fun and Wellness Committee to provide programming to give ILR staff and faculty a chance to connect across departments through activities to engage the mind and body.
Emily is a proud alumnus of The College of Wooster (Go Fighting Scots!) where she holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She also holds a masters degree in Social Work from Binghamton University. She is eager to utilize the skills and knowledge she has gained over the years working in human resources and with nonprofits to act as a safe and customer service-oriented resource for CALS employees.
In her free time, Emily is an avid reader. She enjoys the breadth and depth of many genres including historical fiction, contemporary fiction and biographies/memoirs. She also enjoys relaxing with a jigsaw puzzle and watching reality shows and documentaries. In fact, her undergraduate senior year Independent Study/capstone project focused on the sociological perspective of why folks watch reality TV!
