Aliyah is a PhD candidate in the Graduate Field of Plant Breeding in the Oravec and Cadle-Davidson labs. Her dissertation research is focused on downy mildew disease resistance genes in grapevine, spanning concepts of novel phenotyping technologies, gene discovery, gene curation, and investigations of gene effects.
